FIORDI · Gelato
Fior di. Flower of the milk.
Italian gelato in Valle de Guadalupe. The white cup is the test: milk, cream, sugar — nothing to hide behind. Fun, sans-serif, not skincare. A house you taste.
The cup
If the white scoop is right, trust the case.
Gelato is denser and served a little warmer than ice cream. Flavor is the ingredient. FIORDI keeps fior di latte on the board so every other scoop — Limoncello, pomegranate, vino — has somewhere honest to sit.
01
Flower of the milk
Fior di latte is milk, cream, sugar. No vanilla to hide behind. If that white cup is right, the rest of the case can be trusted.
02
Why it tastes like this
Richer dairy — the brown-cow tradition of solids over volume — gives a clean scoop that coats, then leaves. Fruit and wine sit on that honesty, not on gum or flavoring.
03
The case
Classics first: fior di latte, cioccolato, pistachio, nocciola, stracciatella, crema, fruit sorbets. Then the house: Limoncello, Pomegranate, Vino, Champagne, Daiquiri.
04
Three doors
San Antonio de las Minas is the original. Natal, by the equestrian center, opens next. Costa Palmas on the East Cape is the third.
